The mission of Mansfield ISD Library Services is to provide welcoming spaces promoting literacy and self-directed learning exploration for all.

Mansfield ISD has policies in place to allow our parents to control the library materials available to their student.

All parents in Mansfield ISD have the ability to receive circulation emails when their student visits the library. To request circulation emails, please complete Parent Request for E-mail Notification form.

Destiny Discover - Student library accounts and access to the Sheppard Online Library Catalog can be accessed here. The username is the student's ID number (lunch number) and the password is the student's last name as it appears in Skyward. (Last names that are hyphenated or have a combination of names will be entered as they appear in Skyward as well.)

Library Information & Book Checkout Policy

Students in kinder may have one book checked out at a time. Students in grades 1-4 may have two books checked out at a time. All books may be checked out for one week, and may be renewed on an as needed basis.

Classes visit our library weekly for instruction and checkout. Students may utilize our Open Check Out program which allows students the flexibility to visit the library individually on a more frequent basis.

Parents, please help to ensure your child is a good library citizen and returns his/her book on time.

Access to Libraries - School and Public

Mansfield Public Library

This is a site that gives you access to the Mansfield Public Library online catalog. You will need a library card in order to check out books.

Mary Jo Sheppard Library

This is the site for Mary Jo Sheppard's library. You can search for books that we have in our facility. Once you get to the site, click on Mansfield and then click on Mary Jo Sheppard. You will find the search bar at this point.

Arlington Public Library

This is a site that gives you access to the Arlington Public Library online catalog. You will need a library card in order to check out books.

Battle of the Books Club

Battle of the Books Club is for 3rd and 4th graders. The students will have 5 books to read. The club meets bi-weekly throughout the year.

Bluebonnet Book Lists

The Bluebonnet Book list is sponsored by the Texas Library Association. There is a list of 20 book nominations. Third and Fourth grade children across the state of Texas vote for the book to win the Bluebonnet Award.

2x2 Reading Lists

The 2x2 reading list is also sponsored by the Texas Library Association. This list is for children from age 2 - Second grade.
